Income Tax Department
As of January 1, 2013 the Regional Income Tax Agency (R.I.T.A.) will be doing the collecting and administration of the City of Waterville Taxes.
The City of Waterville has a local income tax rate of 2%. That tax is levied on the income of residents, non-resident employees, and corporations operating within the City. Residents who work in another municipality and who have an income tax liability in that municipality may receive a credit for any such taxes paid to the municipality, provided that the credit does not apply against the first 0.5% levied by Waterville. Specific questions can be directed to R.I.T.A. by calling 1-800-860-7482, or visiting ritaohio.com. The local income tax is the primary source of revenue for the City and provides the necessary financial support for most of the City’s departments and programs.
ESTIMATED INCOME TAXES
City of Waterville Estimated Income Taxes are due quarterly. Payments should be made to the Regional Income Tax Agency (R.I.T.A.).
