In an effort to improve reliability and customer service for our residents, the City of Waterville is switching refuse and recycling services from Republic to Archbold Refuse Service (ARS) beginning on Wednesday, June 3, 2026. Under the new agreement:
- Current refuse and recycling service will remain unchanged with the exception of the pick-up date moving from Monday to Wednesday;
- New ARS refuse and recycling carts or “toter” delivery will begin on May 23 and continue until completed. Every effort will be made to provide the correct toter size based on existing service records;
- Republic’s last day of service will be Tuesday, May 26, 2026. Please leave your empty Republic containers at the curb for removal by ARS and City personnel;
- ARS will provide recycling pick-up for residents in Area A on June 3 followed by recycling service in Area B on June 10;
- Collection fees will remain $15.62 per month per residential customer for the first year of service;
