The Waterville Fire Department provides fire protection.The department consists of a full-time, professionally trained Fire Chief and thirty part-time paid-per-call members, most of who are also certified as paramedics or emergency medical technicians. All fire officers participate in advanced on-going fire and rescue training.
The Department also provides response and protection services by contract to other adjoining jurisdictions.Mutual aid agreements exist with other area departments.
